To be honest, I have never really been a big fan of New Found Glory because I have always found them a bit too cheesy for my liking. This track however has changed my view of the band – this single proves that the band have matured a lot since their last album ‘Sticks and stones’ and have developed into a fine young band. This track is certainly a lot heavier than their older stuff and it is good to see that not all bands are now treading down the path to Emosville. New Found Glory have always been a pop punk band, but they have now stepped the pace up, turned the gear up a notch or two and become a much harder edged and better for it pop punk band. The song here is much more mature than previous material and shows that the band are no longer the young, dumb punks that they once were.

This track has some absolutely blinding bass lines – they really do champion above previous efforts and the drumming goes right through your body and the sound which is coming out of the drum kit is absolutely immense. The guitar playing is also amazing and in places gets very heavy and dark. This is New Found Glory like you have never seen them before – with vocals that range from highly melodic to verging on hardcore. They are still keeping with the old pop-punk recipe they always have done but there is definitely a harder edge to their music and in my humble opinion this can never be a bad thing! If you were a fan of the band before then chances are that you will absolutely adore their new material as by the sounds of things – music at camp New Found Glory is definitely on the up and hopefully they will be releasing many more albums with this new outlook which they seem to have acquired.

When this band first appeared on the scene I just passed them off as being another flash in the pan pop punk band but they have since proven that they have staying power and you truly can’t knock them for that. They have not changed the formula of their music – they have merely developed it and improved on a performance which I felt was extremely predictable and at times very lacking. Once you start listening to this track however – it is really hard to stop and you just want to keep listening to the track over and over again. New Found Glory are now hitting all the right notes and as well as impressing their old fans, I am sure that they will now be gaining many more thanks to this fantastic improvement.
