Straight from the cutting edge of the new
ska movement come the SPLITTERS from
Leicester. The band's style draws from the
original Jamaican ska with a
contemporary British feel reflecting the
band members experiences and
personalities, resulting in a bouncy, uplifting
performance that appeals to a wide
audience range.
Singer Braidley's vocals are as colourful as
the mowhawk on his head, his gruff and
warmly rasping words delivered in true ska
punk style. The classic style can be found in
the horn section and the two tone spirit in
the rhythm section and guitars.
They are a brilliant live band who have
played all over Britain and made a few
trips to Holland and Belgium. They have so
far released two CD albums and one single
on their own Blue Line Order label. They
will spend the rest of this year touring and
working on the next album.
