StanXa
StanXa formed in the summer of 2000 by Edward Li and Colin Meads after Edward had taught Colin how to play Bass. Both had slight musical differences as Ed preferred Punk while Col liked Heavier orientated music. As the two argued on what genre to pursue, Ed had begun writing Punk tunes while Col was reluctant at first to play them he was soon won over. The band had been playing as a twosome for a couple of months now and they both agreed that a drummer was needed, in came Seb. His skills complimented our sound and all that was required was a singer and along came Tom. After several months of writing songs that ranged from Punk to slower emo type songs gigs started appearing. StanXa recorded a little demo in the summer of 2001 to showcase some of the songs that they had written. Four of the five songs are now available on www.mp3.com/stanxa. Now a year later, they have recorded another CD this time with six songs. Some songs are available off that EP which is called Yuck Fou. The band is now going through a heavier phase in order to please Colin. Who knows...we might go Rock and Roll and Old School Metal to please Seb! But for now, they'll just stick with their attempt at a diverse sound. StanXa consists of:
